OSWEGO, NY – Loretta A. Brancato, 83, a resident of 131 E. Tenth 1/2 St., died on Nov. 6, 2008, at Oswego Hospital.
Born in Oswego, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Iva (Gokey) Cloonan.
She was a graduate of St. Mary’s School, Oswego High School and the Rochester Business Institute.
She was employed as a secretary with Safe Haven at Fort Ontario, State University of Oswego and later retired as a secretary with Family Court.
Mrs. Brancato enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are two sons, Charles and Thomas Brancato both of Oswego; her daughter, Margaret (Tim) McGrath of Oswego; a sister, Mary Lafave of Oswego; a brother, Joseph (Ginny) Cloonan of Pennsylvania; and four grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, in 1975; and her daughter, Anne Rollo, in 2004.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. from St. Mary’s Church.
Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dowdle Funeral Home on Monday from 4-7 p.m.
