Louella LeClair announces her candidacy for re-elect for Oswego County Legislator District 25

FULTON, NY – It has been my pleasure to serve the people of Fulton in the Oswego County Legislature.  I am a lifelong resident of Fulton, having graduated from Fulton High School in 1964, and I attended Rochester Business Institute. I raised three children while working in advertising sales for several local media organizations. I always thought of myself as a people person.  I honestly like talking and interacting with people. Liking people and wanting to serve and help others lead me to run for county legislator.

During my tenure I have continued to educate myself in government. I recently graduated from the New York State Association of Counties Dennis Pellieter Institute in conjunction with Cornell University. The core classes not only educate but keep you up to date on state mandates and laws. I worked for Senator Pattie Ritchie in order to stay up to date with New York government, laws, and constituent services.

I have been chairwoman of Economic Development Tourism and Planning for three years and also serve on the Finance and Personnel Committee.

Holding the line and tightening the belt during difficult economic times is essential to keeping taxes stable. I look at your money like my money. I know what it is like to balance a budget personally. I was a single parent homeowner. As a legislator I also know that you must give the county employees the tools they need to perform their jobs. It can be a balancing act to keep county services in place and spend county money wisely.

I am proud of my service to the people of Fulton.

I am always available to answer your questions and welcome your input to better serve you. I work to make Fulton and the county a better place to live and raise our families. I am the endorsed Republican and Independence candidate.
