State Senator Patty Ritchie is announcing that she will honor longtime community volunteer Louise Kellogg with her Oswego County “Senior of the Year” award at the Senior Health and Wellness Fair, taking place at the Fulton War Memorial on Wednesday.
A volunteer since 1985, Louise has logged more than 4,000 volunteer hours. She volunteers regularly at Meadowbrook Manor, the Hannibal Senior Nutrition site, the Hannibal American Legion as well as a number of other organizations.
“Louise is a great example of what it means to truly be part of a community,” said Senator Ritchie. “Her dedication to serving others is remarkable, and I’m glad to have the opportunity to honor her as my Oswego County “Senior of the Year” at Wednesday’s event.”
Senator Ritchie will present Louise with her “Senior of the Year” award at her Oswego County Senior Health and Wellness Fair, taking place on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Fulton War Memorial.
The free event will feature more than 50 local organizations offering health tips, giveaways and more.
A free lunch, made possible by Pathfinder Bank, Hudsons’ Dairy, Ontario Orchards, Behling Orchards, BOCES and Dunkin’ Donuts will also be provided. Transportation is being sponsored by Entergy.
Last month, more than 1,000 people attended Senator Ritchie’s Jefferson County Senior Health and Wellness Fair.
In addition to her Jefferson and Oswego County events, Senator Ritchie will also host a Senior Health and Wellness Fair in St. Lawrence County on October 23 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ogdensburg Oddfellows.
