Louise M. King, 87, a former resident of McWhorter Street, Oswego died Thursday April 7 in Community General Hospital, Syracuse after a short illness.
Mrs. King was born in Oswego the daughter of the late Harry and Mildred (Weber) Purt. Mrs. King was a former employee of International Paper Company, Oswego. She was a past member of the Deerslayer Club. Mrs. King enjoyed bowling and watched any show that had beautiful dancing.
She was predeceased by her husband Jesse King in 2008, her brothers Harry Purt, Henry Purt and sister-in-law Helen Purt.
Mrs. King is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Sidney and Deborah Cooper of LaFayette, and son Harry R. Cooper of Mexico.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday 11:00a.m. at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, Oswego. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday 9:00 –11:00 a.m. at the funeral home 147 West Fourth Street, Oswego.
