OSWEGO, NY – Louise S. Kon, 86, a resident at St. Luke Health Facility in Oswego passed away peacefully on Saturday July 4, 2015.
She was born in Oswego on December 13, 1928, to the late Alex Bobreski and Mary Jung Bobreski.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Kon; her daughter, Karen Burnham; her sister, Helen Rich; her brother, Alex Bobreski; her uncle, Anthony Jung; and two nephews, Roy Steckiewicz and Douglas Waldemar.
She is survived by her sisters, Alice Steckiewicz of Fayetteville, NY, and Jane Waldemar of Pinehurst, NC; grandchildren Heather Burnham Murray and Brandon Burnham; great- grandchildren Jeremy Taylor and Nathan Murray, nieces, Laura Hawkins, Ann Bobreski, Mary Bobreski and Theresa Taber; nephews, Stanley Jung, Alexander Bobreski and James Bobreski; cousins who live in Poland; two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth (Ella) Kon McIlwaine of Franklinville, NY, and Mary Kon of Hannibal, NY.
Louise had worked at Fitzgibbons Boiler Plant in Oswego and Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County in Mexico, NY.
In her retirement years, Louise became a certified aide and worked at St. Luke Health Facility.
Louise was a loving wife and grandmother.
She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much.
Louise was a homemaker and particularly enjoyed cooking.
She was a kind person and always enjoyed her friends and family.
Her family thanks the nurses and staff at St. Luke for their kind and considerate care.
A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. July 15 at St. Mary’s Church in Oswego.
Internment will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
