FULTON, NY – With Track Champions to soon be crowned, It pays to be a Champion, particularly a Northeastern Dirt Modified Track Champion.
During the annual Fulton Ethanol Facility Outlaw 200 Weekend by SUNY Canton on Sept. 29, modified track champions will participate in the first NE Modified Circle of Champion.
This special event will showcase and reward the Modified and 358-Modified track champions of the more than 30 tracks in the northeastern United States and Canada, as well as the track promoters that operate them. An added feature to one of the most prestigious short track modified racing events in North America.
The Circle of Champions program will spotlight all NE track promoters and their track champions throughout the giant single-day modified special.
The Outlaw 200 Circle of Champions luncheon will be held at 1 p.m., where media and special guests will be have the opportunity to meet track champions, track promoters and Outlaw 200 Weekend event sponsors. For the fans, a special track champions autograph session will take place at the conclusion of the luncheon and prior to 3pm Outlaw 200 hot laps.
Heat races and consolations for the Outlaw 200 get under way at 4:30.
After all qualifying has taken place, the NE Circle of Champions Clash will be held.
This special event will pit all track champions head-to-head for a $1,000 top prize and a commemorative Circle of Champions Cup.
Nearly $10,000 has been posted with all starters guaranteed at least $300.
All posted funds are above and beyond the more than $66,000 in posted purses for the Outlaw 200.
To add even more value to this exciting new event, the Circle of Champions Clash will be the last chance for drivers to qualify for the $20,000-to-win headline event to follow, as the first two finishers not yet in the Outlaw 200 will be added to the starting line-up.
Track promoters are encouraged to participate in the Outlaw 200 pace car parade, and will have access to Fulton Speedway’s party deck to take in the Outlaw 200.
The Circle of Champions Clash is open to modified or 358-modified track champions (or point leaders as of Sept. 22) only.
Spots may not be passed down.
