Man Involved in Serious 7th North Street Crash Dies

Town of Salina, NY – Onondaga County Sheriff Kevin E. Walsh said today (Dec. 18) hat the man involved in Sunday’s serious one-car crash on Seventh North Street in the town of Salina has since died.

William Jenner, 53, of County Route 26, West Monroe, passed away from his injuries he suffered in Sunday’s crash.

Jenner had been in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit at Upstate University Hospital since the crash.

Deputies investigating the crash report that witnesses observed Jenner’s pickup truck traveling westbound on Seventh North Street in the area of Terminal Road when his truck suddenly drifted off the north shoulder of the road.

Jenner’s truck then struck a guardrail and a snowbank, causing the truck to flip onto the driver’s side where it came to rest.

Jenner was found to be the only occupant of the vehicle, and was transported to Upstate University Hospital where he had been listed in critical condition.

It is unknown what caused Jenner to drift off the roadway and at this time.

The cause of the crash still remains under investigation.
