FULTON, NY – Manly “Eric” Phelps, 75, of Oswego, passed away Wednesday morning Jan. 25, 2012, at home.
He was born in Phoenix, one of 13 children to the late William and Myrtle Phelps.
Eric was a life resident of Oswego.
He was formerly employed at Sealright and BirdsEye before retiring as a truck driver from MTS in Oswego.
Eric was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was predeceased by a son, Thomas Phelps, who died April 7, 2009.
Eric is survived by his wife of 57 years, Shirley Shoults Phelps; two daughters, Rhonda (Gary Muckey Jr.) Phelps and Melissa (Kenneth Jr.) Myers; two sons, Eric (Kathy) Phelps and Benjamin Phelps; a brother, John Phelps; a sister, Phyllis Stone; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday with services to follow at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.
Burial will be in Hannibal Center Cemetery.
