Many Roads lead to Street Level

OSWEGO, NY – Four musicians, all originally from Oswego, have each followed many roads that led them to come full circle and band together to form the area’s newest rock group, Street Level.

The band will make its second local appearance on March 29 at Thunder Road (234 E. Albany St.)

Street Level is David Burritt (drums, vocals), Tom McCaffrey (guitar, vocals), Kat Rushmore (vocals, flute) and Kent Warner (bass, vocals).

When asked to describe their music, lead singer Kat said “We play a lot of rockin’ crowd pleasers…Stevie Nicks, Zep, The Who, Sheryl Crow, Fleetwood Mac, Janis, Triumph, originals and a whole bunch more.  What’s really cool is that we’ve all known each other for most of our lives. Kent, Tommy, and Dave all played with The Barry James Band years ago.”

Guitarist McCaffrey also plays in Frostbit Blue.

Burritt recently returned from touring with The Monkees’ Peter Tork.

Warner was gigging and recording with the best Philadelphia bands while away from Oswego.

When Kat’s path led her back home too, what began at first as friends just having fun sitting around and jamming, eventually grew into a real band: Street Level.
