The seven members of the New York State Field Band Conference Small School 1 division will take to the field for the final competition of the season on Sunday, October 27 under the Syracuse University Carrier Dome.
The Marching Bucs are one of the charter members of the NYSFBC and each year has well-represented the Oswego school and community with its crowd pleasing performances.
Last Saturday night at Central Square the Marching Bucs captured first place at the Central Square Red Hawks competition with an 82.30 score while runner up East Syracuse-Minoa earned an 81.80.
This Sunday Oswego will take the field for competition at 6:52 p.m.
The Small School 1 class commences with Mohonasen at 6 p.m. and immediately following will be East Syracuse-Minoa, New Hartford, East Irondequoit, Oswego, Medina and LeRoy.
Oswego is coming off two solid weeks and is peaking for the annual appearance in the state championship event.
The Carrier Dome show is one of the most emotional of the year as it is the final time the band will take the field for competition.
It will also mark the final appearance of the Oswego High School “Class of 14” members.
Seniors include drum majors Cassandra Hondro and Anne Reynolds.
Band members in the senior year include Makenzie Harpst, Brittany Reed, Caylin Ward, Kennedy Singletary, Tiffani Vosseller, Tyler Benjamin, Mike Chetney, Michael Sheffield, Loren Willmes, Austin Jackson, Nicholas Sheary, Tyme Baez, Emily King, Emily Mills, Tory Welsch, Conor Hendrie, Alex Carl, Justin Abbott, Jordan Attwood, Tom Godfrey, Casey Adner, Nina Alcasid, Lexie DeSacia, Holly Gilbert and Sarah Lamb.
Seniors in color guard are Myranda Arnesen, Stephanie Cuzyck, Danielle Gilbert, Cassidy Jones, Marsaili Knapp, Cayla-Ann Knapp, Betsy O’Gorman and Tiffany Smith.
Tickets will be available at the Carrier Dome on Sunday evening.
There is plenty of parking surrounding the Carrier Dome; but fans are asked to arrive early due to usually long lines and security checkpoints at the gates.
