MINETTO – The Mardi Gras is back at the Minetto United Methodist Church.
Once again the church will host an evening of fun and entertainment prior to the start of Lent.
This year’s event is set for 7 p.m. on Feb. 5.
Rick Sivers will be Master of Ceremonies and bring to the evening his hilarious brand of storytelling and jokes that will keep the laughs coming.
Entertainment will include the Sounds of Brass who will play several sets of music throughout the evening, and there will be a special appearance by Brother Harmonious.
Brother Harmonious, the oft drunken monk, will tell some of the secrets of life in the monastery and reveal the monk’s new mission to save the earth.
Sivers has been performing Brother Harmonious for more than 15 years across the state including two fully staged productions of the unhappy monk for the Oswego Players.
Reservations can be made by signing up at the Minetto United Methodist Church or by calling the church at 343-3465.
There will be an admission charge for the entertainment and an intermission dessert buffet.
The building is fully accessible and is located at the corner of State Route 48 and County Route 8, one block south of the Stewarts Shop, midway between Oswego and Fulton, in the village of Minetto.
