Marion L. Guernsey, 80


Marion L. Guernsey, 80, a former resident of Oswego, passed away, Friday, February 5th, 2010 in Elsmere, Delaware.

Born in Volney, she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Cory (Bryant) Spaulding.

She was predeceased by her husband Floyd Guernsey in 1983; two sisters, Ether Moor and Dorothy Vickery and special neighbors Agnes and Jerry Gauronski.

Surviving is two sisters, Ellen (Hank) Richards and Murriel (George) Rice both of Oswego; her very special nephews, Donald (Connie) Richards, Ronald (Sue) Richards, Douglas Richards; special niece Lu Ann (Shawn) Scribner; special great niece and nephews, Deborah, Jamie and Thomas Richards; nephews, Ed (Mary) Rice, David (Brenda) Rice, Kenneth Rice; nieces, Judy (Bryant) Lagoe, Diane (Gene) Longley. Life long friend Lorraine Trenca; god child, Becky O’Kane; sister in law and brother in law, Viola and Dick Boardway and children; two aunts and one uncle, many cousins.

Services will be held 8p.m. Tuesday at the Nelson Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held 6-8p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 11 W. Albany St.

Spring burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Oswego.

    Mommy Marion you will be missed, at least you are with Daddy Floyd. We weren’t just neighbor’s, we were family. We will miss you at Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, dinner’s, Memorial, Labor, and 4th of July BBQ’s. Mom and Dad will miss your Olive and Ambrosia Salads…

    Marion will truly be missed by her close neighbors, Jo Ann and Phil, as she was like part of their family. I will miss Marion’s wit and sense of humor. She was a nice lady. Sleep well Marion and God Bless you.
