Martha A. “Marty” DenBleyker, 92

Martha A. “Marty” DenBleyker, 92, of Phoenix, NY passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at the Manor at Seneca Hill, Volney, after a brief stay.

Born to her late parents, Samuel and Rose (Michaels) Kohli in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin on January 9 1919. She was a veteran, serving during WW II in the USMC.

Marty was a lunch lady in the Phoenix Central School system. A communicant of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, a member of Altar Rosary Society, as well as the Columbiettes. A volunteer for the Phoenix Area Food Pantry, and member Phoenix Sr. Citizens.

Marty was predeceased by her husband, Donald DenBleyker, Sr. in 1981.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Donald and Marcia DenBleyker, Dorothy and John Casper, Doris and Dave Vickery, all of Phoenix, NY, Mary and Bill Fleming of Gainesville, VA; five grandchildren, Donnie, Robin, Andrew, Wendy, and Jason; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.

Services Wednesday at 9:15 am in the funeral home, followed by a Catholic funeral Mass at 10 am in St. Stephen’s Church, 469 Main St., Phoenix, with the Rev. Philip Brochmyre officiating. Burial Phoenix Rural Cemetery. Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday at the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St. Phoenix.
