OSWEGO, NY – Mary Margaret Auer, 81, a resident of Calabasas, Calif., and 14906 Hadcock Drive in Fair Haven, NY, passed away Thursday evening June 24, 2010, at her home in Fair Haven.
She was born in Syracuse, NY, and was the daughter of the late William and Mary E. Hourigan Hunter.
She was the wife of Edmund R. Auer.
Mrs. Auer was a graduate of St. Josephâ€™s School of Nursing in Syracuse.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Auer is survived by four daughters, Mary Pat (Gene) Pino of Westport, Conn., Carolyn Weber of Baldwinsville, NY, Jeanne (Robert) Bonanno of Newbury Park, Calif. and Molly (Brenden) Rogers of New City, NY; six sons, Stephen (Sandi), William (Linda), Joseph (Kim) all of Los Angeles, Calif., Dan (Sue) of Highland Mills, NY, Ted (Mimi) of Redding, Conn. and Jim (Christine) of Scottsdale, Ariz.; two brothers, William (Dorothy) Hunter of Liverpool and George Hunter of Syracuse; two sisters, Patricia (John) Greis of East Syracuse and Joanne Fayette of Oswego; and 25 grandchildren.
Mrs. Auer was predeceased by a brother, John Hunter.
Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. July 6, at St. Jude Chapel in Fair Haven.
Burial will be in Cemetery of the Highlands, Highland Mills, NY, at a later date.
