Richland, NY – On Sunday, May 29, 2011, Vorea Community Church in Richland, NY, will celebrate Missions Month and begin its 2011 Operation Christmas Child project. Operation Christmas Child is a project of international Christian relief and evangelism organization Samaritan’s Purse, led by Dr. Billy Graham’s son Franklin Graham. The project collects and distributes shoe boxes filled with small toys, schools supplies and hygiene items to children in need in more than 100 countries (www.samaritanspurse.org).

On May 29th, Operation Christmas Child (OCC) volunteer New York North Central Area Coordinator Patty Jennings will speak as part of the 11 am service at Vorea Community Church. Jennings will share photographs from her mission trips that included the opportunity to help distribute OCC boxes to children in Africa and Central and South America.
