FAIR HAVEN, NY – Dust off those fairy wings, gnome hats, and bring your pixie dust!
The Fair Haven Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its Second Annual May Festival in the Village Park in downtown Fair Haven on Saturday, May 19.
It begins at 11a.m.
It will be a festival that celebrates spring, good health, nature, and all that is connected to May.
There will be fairies and gnomes all around celebrating the arrival of spring.
Music and laughter will fill the air.
The Village Park will be bustling with vendors, demonstrations and games celebrating spring’s arrival.
The event kicks off at 11a.m. with a parade.
Adults and kids should come dressed as fairies, woodland creatures, or gnomes and join the parade through the streets of Fair Haven.
The parade line up is at 10:45 a.m.
The fun continues afterwards with a family scavenger hunt through the village, a poker walk, food, free games and crafts for the kids, and music.
There will be a Bike Rodeo in front of the library at noon.
The kids are invited to bring their bikes and helmets.
At 1 p.m. the popular local band “Hattie Lewis” will be playing at the bandstand in the park.
The May Festival is not an event just for kids, it is for the kid in all of us,
So, we encourage the adults to dress up, too.
The chamber is expecting more than 30 vendors, but is still accepting vendor applications for the event.
If you have something to sell that will add to the celebration, please contact vendor coordinator Lisa Berson at 947-6824.
