OSWEGO, NY – Ten time Indy 500 veteran and 1997 Oswego Speedway International Classic winner Davey Hamilton is set for a fan â€œMeet â€˜n Greetâ€ on July 30th at Burritt Motors from 1 until 3 p.m.
This appearance by Hamilton kicks off the 24th annual â€œ$10,000 to Winâ€ weekend at the Oswego Speedway.
The Jamestown, Indiana, resident is a ten time qualifier for the Indianapolis 500.
He has run 52 Indy car races in his career with eight top three finishes.
He has been the Indy Car season-long point championship runner-up on three different occasions.
The versatile driver has competed in the prestigious International Classic at Oswego for four different car owners and was elected into the Oswego Speedway â€œHall of Fameâ€ in 2005.
Hamilton was able to set three Oswego Speedway dates on his busy racing schedule for 2010 and will compete for car owner John Nicotra as the teammate to current Novelis Supermodified Track Champion, Otto Sitterly.
Burritt Motors not only supplies the â€œOfficial Pace Truckâ€ for the Oswego Speedway but has one of the longest running sponsorships in the 60-year history of the track.
Hamilton will be on hand at Burritt Motors to kick off the busy big dollar weekend at Oswego Speedway.
The 24th annual â€œMr. Novelis Supermodifiedâ€ feature will be joined by the 19th annual â€œMr. PathFinder Bank Small Block Superâ€ race and the 3rd annual â€œMs. Hoosier Mamaâ€ SBS powder puff race for the ladies on Saturday night July 31.
