We would like to send information out each week on one of our new member. This gives others a chance to hear what their business has to offer. This week we will feautre Best Version Media.

Why: Best Version Media is creating a publication by the community for the community. They specifially target certain higher income areas of Oswego that will be receiving the publication.

Who: They will be direct mailing to 1700 homes in Oswego. The families will be receiving the magazine monthly beginning in late spring/early summer
Cost: Pre print sponsors are currently given a 20% discount on the rate. Any local business that signs up through the Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce will recieve a 35% discount. Once they have gone to print the discount goes to 0%, however chamber businesses will still receive a 10% discount.

Enactus is a community of SUNY Oswego students, academic and business leaders committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to enable human progress. Enactus students apply business concepts to develop community outreach projects, transform lives and shape a better, more sustainable world. Noah will be providing us with information regarding his downtown busines survey. 3rd Annual Oswego Polar Plunge for Special Olympics
Freezin’ for a Reason! The 3rd Annual Oswego Polar Plunge for Special Olympics New York will take an icy dip into Ontario Lake on Saturday, March 28, 2015 in support of local Special Olympics athletes. Over 300 participants are expected to take the Oswego Polar Plunge including teams already registered; Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 73, Oswego City Pol”ICE”, Alpha Epsilon Pi, Arc of Oswego County, Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity, Psi, Phi Gamma, Beardsley Architects & Engineers, Port City Roller Derby, Alpha Phi Omega and Greene’s Ale House. Registration can be completed online at www.PolarPlungeNY.org/Oswego. Participants raising $100+ will receive a FREE official Polar Plunge sweatshirt. United Way Stone Soup Returns To Fulton.
Resource Development Director for the United Way of Greater Oswego County Ali McGrath meets with Chris Satchel (l) of Mimi’s Diner in Fulton and Tavern on the Lock Chef Eddie Casler (r) in preparation for United Way’s 7th Annual ‘Stone Soup Too’ Luncheon. The Foursome Diner and Blue Moon Grill in Fulton will also be providing soups for the luncheon that will be held Thursday, March 26th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Holy Trinity Parish, 309 Buffalo Street in Fulton. In addition to a delicious assortment of hearty soups, there will be coffee from Dunkin’ Donuts; salad provided by C’s; rolls from the Red Baron; cookies from Kathy’s Cakes and Joe’s Corner Market; cake from Springside at Seneca Hill and water courtesy of Hudson’s Dairy. The United Way will be accepting donations of $5 per person for the luncheon. Attendees are also encouraged to please bring a donation of non-perishable food items. All proceeds and food donations will be used to support area food pantries including Catholic Charities of Oswego County, Salvation Army of Oswego County, and the Hannibal Resource Center Food Pantry.
