The brilliant sounds of Mexico Brass, a community brass and percussion band from Mexico, will provide the entertainment for the July 9 Oswego Farmers’ Market.

A community brass and percussion band devoted to good music and good fun, Mexico Brass, formed in Mexico in 2007, continues the village’s long tradition of brass bands, which dates back to 1868.

They performed at a variety of venues throughout the area including the Everson Museum in Syracuse.

Boasting more than 14 horns, the Mexico Brass will fill the market with the strong and sure sound of full brass band.

The chamber and the city of Oswego sponsor the market, which continues Thursdays from 5 – 9 p.m. through Oct. 8.

While the market is fun for the whole family, the chamber would like to remind everyone that for the safety of the pet, as well as the general public, animals are prohibited from the market.
