Mexico Health Center joins the Cancer Services Program


MEXICO, NY – Carolyn Handville, program coordinator for Oswego County Opportunities’ Cancer Services Program Partnership, has announced that NOCHSI’s Mexico Health Center has joined the Cancer Services Program’s network of over 25 health care provider offices throughout Oswego County.

Oswego County Opportunities’ Cancer Services Program Partnership recently welcomed NOCHSI’s Mexico Health Center as a new provider within their network of over 25 health care provider offices throughout Oswego County.  The Cancer Services Program provides a wide range of free cancer screenings to uninsured community members aged 40-64. The Mexico Health Center is conveniently located in the town of Mexico, 5856 Scenic Ave.

The facility offers complete healthcare services for all ages.

The center is staffed with medical professionals who are not only ready to treat the unexpected bumps and bruises of life, but can also provide comprehensive preventive care, such as the free clinical breast exams and pap/pelvic exams that the Cancer Services Program offers to uninsured community members aged 40-64.

“We are proud to add the Mexico Health Center among our network of health care providers,” said Handville. “Their trained staff provides our community with outstanding patient care and appropriate referrals into the Cancer Services Program. If you are aged 40-64 without health insurance, please call the Cancer Services Program at 315-592-0830 to schedule your free cancer screenings.”

OCO’s Cancer Services Program provides free cancer screenings including clinical breast exams, mammograms, pap/pelvic exams, and colon cancer screenings to uninsured women ages 40 to 64, uninsured men ages 50 to 64, and uninsured or underinsured women under 40 years of age who are at risk of, or have had a clinically significant finding for, breast cancer.
