Michael J.K. Miller, 33, of Oswego and Ft. Lauderdale, FL born March 12, 1978 passed away in his sleep on September 12, 2011 after a strong fight against cancer.
Michael had worked with Aramark Nutrition at the Oswego Hospital and at Java Boys in Wilton Manors, FL. He graduated from Oswego High in 1996. He was a strong and avid believer of equality and supported LGBT beliefs.
Surviving are his mother, Avis H. Miller; father Randy C. Miller and companion Wendy J. Perron of Lee Center; sisters Jennifer J. Miller of Oswego and Melissa A. Perron of Camden; brothers Ronald J. Miller of Rochester and Michael A. Perron of Rome; and was a proud uncle to nieces Zoe M. Lewis and Jasmine J. Carey, daughters of Melissa; and godfather to nephew Joey Curcie-Miller, son of Jennifer. Also, his grandparents Joan A. Cronk of Fulton and John J. Krupa of Martville; several aunts, uncles, cousins, countless caring and loving friends, and his faithful 4-legged companion Chester Copperpot.
Predeceased by grandparents Mabel A. Krupa, Joan S. Miller, Elwin F. Cronk and Ronald C. Miller.
Michael touched many people with his positive outlook on life and was deeply loved by all that knew him. His smile will be missed greatly.
Calling hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8pm. Thursday at Nelson Funeral Home, Oswego.
Graveside services will be held 1p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21 at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.
