Michael Stafford of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office attends Jail Administrators Training Conference


SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY – More than 100 county jail administrators from 55 county sheriff’s offices attended the Jail Administrators’ Continuing Education Conference at the Gideon Putnam Hotel in Saratoga Springs in October.

Nationally known corrections consultant Carrie Hill, Esq. of Criminal Justice Consulting, LLC, was a featured speaker at the conference, presenting an extended update on legal issues facing corrections facilities.

New York State Sheriffs’ Association President and Chemung County Sheriff Chris Moss presented certificates at the close of the conference along with Saratoga County Sheriff Mike Zurlo, Warren County Sheriff Bud York, and Rockland County Sheriff Lou Falco.

The conference is part of a training series offered each year by the New York State Sheriffs’ Association.

NYSSA is a not-for-profit corporation, formed in 1934 to assist sheriffs in the efficient and effective delivery of services to the public.

It comprises all of the elected and appointed sheriffs of New York State.
