MINETTO – Fourth grade teachers Heather Lynch, Katie Tesoriero, Cindi Herrman, and Cathy Pepper had their students collect school supplies for students in Guatemala.
Herrman’s daughter, Carrie Kangah (back row third from left), will be bringing her nursing school students to Guatemala to run health clinics.
They will also be visiting schools and doing immunization shots for children, and providing them with medicine and vitamins.
Mrs. Kangah shared information about her upcoming journey.
Each student wrote a letter to another student in Guatemala and put supplies into a baggie with a picture of them.
This was a great opportunity for the class to give back to another school community.
Students gathered with Kangah at a presentation in Minetto.
