OSWEGO – On July 6, from 10 a.m. to noon there will be a workshop in mixed-media journaling for adults and from noon to 1 p.m. a workshop in mixed-media journaling for kids.
It will be held at the Art Association of Oswego with artist Beth Sotherden.
She said the art journal is a place to play, practice, try out new ideas and mediums, record thoughts and flex your creative muscles.
Keeping an art journal becomes a spiritual practice, a place to tune out distractions and free the creative spirit.
On Saturday you will start a couple of pages using printmaking, stencil, collage, watercolor, and acrylic paint techniques.
There is a small fee per person.
All materials and tools needed will be provided.
The AAO is located at the end of East Fourth Street right across the street from Fort Ontario.
No experience necessary.
No registration required, just walk in.
