France, who retired as a Master Sgt. E-7, spoke of his time in Germany and being a part of the Honor Flight from Syracuse to Washington, D.C.

France was one of 80 CNY veterans that made the trip and visited the national memorials dedicated to their service and sacrifice.

Morningstar recognized its veterans during a special luncheon that featured steak, shrimp and homemade chocolate mousse cake.

In addition to the luncheon, each veteran received a complementary T-shirt representing the branch of the military they served in.

“It was our pleasure to recognize our residents who bravely served our country,” said Taylor. “It was heartwarming to see them share their experiences, and honor their fellow veterans. We’re proud of our veterans and happy that we could make Veterans’ Day special for them.”

Located at 17 Sunrise Drive in Oswego, Morningstar Residential Care Center is a family-owned and operated, 120-bed long-term and sub-acute skilled nursing facility with full rehabilitation services.
