NEW HAVEN, NY – First Congregational Church, 4270 State Route 104, New Haven, invites the public to its special Mother’s Day Weekend Celebration May 12 and 13.
The celebration includes a chicken and pulled pork BBQ on May 12 and special guest speaker Sharon LaBella and singer Sherry Anne on May 13 presenting on the theme of In the Shelter of His Wings.
Pastor David Daley said, “Mother’s Day weekend is a special time to celebrate faith and family with food for our bodies and our souls. The visit here by Sharon and Sherry Anne last year touched hearts with a message of God’s love and how to live in troubled times. We invite the community to get their reservations in for our delicious BBQ on Saturday and join us on Sunday for a new blessing of learning and song.”
BBQ reservations must be made and pre-paid by April 29.
The dinners include a chicken half, pulled pork, baked beans, salt potatoes, and roll for $11.

On Mother’s Day Sunday at 10 am, Biblical counselor, teacher and speaker Sharon LaBella is the featured speaker at the church. She has helped people find hope and healing from shame, sorrow, sadness and other life challenges.
Through her teaching, ministering, and as host of the radio show His Hope for Your Life, she shares practical lessons based on Biblical wisdom.
She will be joined by Sherry Anne, who was born with a bilateral hearing and speech impairment, and sings with an elegant voice to share her journey of faith with songs to inspire anyone facing any kind of challenge.
Sherry Anne has performed with The Gaither Vocal Band, The Collingsworth Family, and The Booth Brothers.

The First Congregational Church of New Haven is an historic landmark, cited as the oldest standing church in Oswego County.
Programming includes children’s and youth activities, a Wednesday night Bible study, monthly coffee hour, family movie night, and an active women’s fellowship group.
