FULTON, NY – On one Sunday each month, First United Church of Fulton, 33 S. Third St. continues to show, free of charge, full-length movies.
Many are newly released.
On September 15, starting at 2 p.m., First United Church of Fulton will show another enjoyable movie well suited to older adults.
Families are also welcome to this PG rated flick.
Popcorn and soda are provided free of charge.
Copyright restrictions do not allow First United to publicize the title of the movie or the leading characters.
Here, however, is a brief description of September’s movie selection taken from a published review:
It is a prequel to the classic movie based on the novel by L. Frank Baum.
It begins in the Midwest in black-and-white and then falls to a Technicholor Neverland in the eye of a twister.
In this place of garish, unnatural wonders and exotic fauna the bewildered magician is swept off his feet by not one, but three magnificent witches — one after the other, each appealing to his better judgment and worst instincts, and none copping to the wickedness that we know will show its hand eventually.
First United Church is affiliated with the American Baptist Churches, USA and the Presbyterian Church (USA).
The congregation is active in the greater Fulton community through the Greater Fulton Area Council of Christian
Churches and other avenues of sharing.
The facility offers hearing assistance, and it is accessible to those who are physically handicapped.
Sunday worship takes place each week at 11 a.m.
