Music In Our Schools Month Celebrated In Fulton

FULTON – Fulton City School District students will showcase their vocal and instrumental talents during performances at their respective schools throughout the month of March, in celebration of Music in Our Schools Month.

According to the National Association for Music Education, MIOSM seeks to “raise awareness of the importance of music education for all children and to remind citizens that schools is where all children should have access to music.”

Throughout the Fulton City School District, musical opportunities for students are abound, from elementary band, choral and Glee Club performances to junior high school choral and musical concerts to high school concerts and musicals.

Below is a list of the MIOSM concerts from each school building:

• FJHS seventh graders: 6:30 p.m. March 15 at G. Ray Bodley High School
• FJHS eighth graders: 8 p.m. March 15 at GRB
• Fairgrieve Elementary: 6:30 p.m. March 16 at Fairgrieve
• Lanigan Elementary: 6:30 p.m. March 21 at Lanigan
• Volney Elementary: 6:30 p.m. March 21 at GRB
• Granby Elementary: 6:30 p.m. March 22 at GRB
• GRB Chorus: 7:30 p.m. March 23 at GRB
• GRB Bands: 7:30 p.m. March 29 at GRB
• GRB Orchestras: 7:30 p.m. March 30 at GRB
