PHOENIX, NY – Myrtle A. “Myrt” Hubbard, 83, of the town of Granby, Fulton, NY, passed away on Thursday evening May 8, 2014.
She was born in Rich Mountain, Arkansas on March 3, 1931, to her late parents Alice (Beck) and Argus Mackey.
She was a engaged in potato farming with her late husband, Ralph A. Hubbard, for many years, known as Hubbard Farms.
Myrt enjoyed braiding rugs.
She was predeceased by by her loving husband of 60 years, Ralph A. Hubbard, on Sept. 16, 2012; her daughter-in-law, Janette L. (Cramer) Hubbard, on Nov. 27, 2013; her son-in-law, William A. Whipple Sr., on Aug. 16, 1999.
Surviving are her two sons, Thomas Hubbard of Fulton and Kirk (Debra) Hubbard of Phoenix; two daughters, Kim Whipple of Pennellville and Cynthia Pluff of Phoenix; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Amy Upson of Florida; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix.
Graveside service only on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in Jacksonville Cemetery, 9250 Fenner Road, town of Lysander, with the Rev. Moritz Fuchs officiating.
