FULTON, NY – Nancy Ann Duciaume, 87, a lifelong resident of North Volney, died suddenly on Saturday March 16, 2013.
She was born in Fulton, a daughter to the late Gardwell and Ruth LePointe Darling.
Nancy had worked at the Portage Restaurant and Lakeview Lanes.
She was gifted in sales and began her career at Woolworth’s Department Store and continued in direct sales for Sarah Coventry, Contempo Fashions and Mary Kay.
Nancy was a 4-H Leader and a member of the North Volney United Methodist Church.
Her particular zest of life was dancing to country music, playing bunco with the girls, which she did for 40 years, and short travels as a member of the Volney and Mexico Senior Citizen groups.
Nancy enjoyed crocheting, sewing and other crafts, was an avid reader who liked to share her readings with her friends.
Her family is forever grateful for her giving nature and her steadfast love.
She was predeceased by her former husband, Raymond M. Stevens Sr., who died January 28, 1976; her husband, Donald F. Duciaume, who died October 1, 2002; and by a brother, William Darling.
Nancy is survived by six children and six step-children, Raymond (Rosalie) Stevens Jr. of North Volney, James (Mary) Stevens of North Volney, Carol (James) Mason of Cleveland, Ohio, William (Gail) Stevens of North Volney, Ruth (Dan Brown) Stevens of Scriba, Kenneth L. (Phyllis) Stevens of Mexico, Emma M. Wright of Syracuse, Theresa E. Bianco of Texas, Edward (Debbie) Duciaume of Oswego, Sara (Gary) Myers of Minnesota, Dolores (Darrell) Cooper of Fulton and Renee (Bill Gephardt) Duciaume of Syracuse; a brother, John (Linda) Darling of Scriba; 28 grandchildren; 51great grandchildren; two (soon to be four) great-great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held 3 to 6 p.m. Friday with services to follow at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.
