ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Oswego State men’s soccer team lost a 2-0 contest at Nazareth College on Saturday afternoon.
With the loss, the Lakers are now 1-3-0 on the season while the Golden Flyers improved to 2-1-0.
Todd Lawson, the Laker goalkeeper, was solid between the pipes all day, making a career-high 11 saves against Nazareth.
Oswego pressured the Golden Flyers’ defense all day, putting up 17 shots, eight of which were on-goal. Brody Magro took a team-high four shots on the day with one of those being saved while Mitch Brickman had two attempts stopped by the Nazareth keeper.
Both of the Golden Flyers’ goals came in the first half, with each being separated by less than four minutes. At 28:15, Brendan Miles crossed a ball to Mama Amar for a score.
Nazareth added an insurance score 3:46 later when Miles scored off of a rebound.
Oswego will return home for its next game when it hosts Morrisville State College at 4 p.m. at Laker Soccer Field.
