Need Your Help for FitzPatrick and Upstate Energy Jobs

To The Editor:
I write with news on the County of Oswego IDA’s efforts to save the James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Plant and to ask for your help.

Now, more than ever, we need to apply pressure on the Governor’s office to rethink his strategy for dealing with nuclear power, as well as other forms of renewable energy – particularly in this region of New York State.

To this end, the IDA has authorized and produced a media campaign focusing on the economic impact of the closure of JAF.

You can see our newly-developed website here: www.UpstateEnergyJobs.com
And, the video we created here: https://youtu.be/p9fawOa93wU

I ask that you share the video and our materials on your social media channels and with your friends.

We have also placed ads in key publications across the state that will appear in the coming days.

With your help we can get our message out and make an impact.

Executive Director

  1. Mr. Treadwell. where is the money coming from to pay for all of these ads.I think taxpayer money should be spent on finding new jobs and trying to keep the inland port here in Oswego County and not spent on negative ads about the govt. JAF is a dead horse and no ads will make a difference it is a waste of taxpayer money.
