New Antique & Vintage Goods Store Celebrates with Grand Opening June 19

A new store has opened in Minetto on State Route 48 right across from the Minetto Town Park and Landing. Water Under the Bridge… antiques, vintage goods & beautiful things, will celebrate with a grand opening on June 19, 2010 at 11AM. Partners Dave Whalen and Catharine Early opened the two-story shop in May. The shop is filled with furniture, primitives, art, ephemeral goods including postcards and advertising material, china and glassware, coins, watches and a selection of Oswego vintage collectibles.

The Grand Opening is Saturday, June 19, 2010 from 11AM – 6PM. Refreshments will be served and door prizes (antiques, naturally) will be given out. “We hope our potential customers will come out to see the store, browse and get to know us,” says Catharine. “It’s easy to spend an afternoon here with our wonderful view of the Oswego River. You don’t even have to drive here – you can bring your boat, dock at the Minetto Public Landing and walk across the street for a visit.”

“Our shop is a Co-op,” says Dave Whalen, “featuring 11 local collectors including Art McManus, Blanche Judd, and Ron Kaplewicz of Oswego, Janis Darby of Fulton, Diana Hogue of Syracuse, Corrina Pauldine, who formerly owned the Antique Emporium in Oswego and Dale Bixler, owner of the Serendipity Bed & Breakfast in Oswego. All of our vendors have special interests and specialized knowledge in particular areas.”

Water Under the Bridge is open Wednesdays through Sunday each week. Hours vary a little each day: Wednesday and Saturday 10AM-6PM, Thursdaya and Friday 10AM-8PM and Sunday 11AM-5PM.
