OSWEGO – Oswego County New Horizons Band announces its 2018 Christmas Concert Schedule.
All concerts are open to the public and free.
Songs include favorite Christmas songs, Polar Express, A Cowboy Christmas, Stars and Stripes for Christmas, and sing-alongs.
On December 9, The band will be joined by the New Horizons Chorus for the Joy of Christmas show.
The New Horizons program was founded in 1991 by Roy Ernst, a professor at Eastman School of Music in Rochester.
The program promotes music participation for senior citizens, enriching their lives and wellbeing.
Now known as New Horizons International Music Association, the organization consists of more than 200 bands, orchestras, and choruses with more than 9,000 musicians in Australia, Canada, England, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand and the United States.
The Oswego County Band practices every Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the Minetto United Methodist Church.
