New Idea For Victorian Picnic

This year’s Oswego County Historical Society Victorian Picnic will be held Sunday, June 13, from 1 to 4 p.m. on the lawn of the Richardson-Bates House Museum, 135 E. Third St., Oswego. A new activity at the picnic will be a book sale, which will include various historical books. Those looking over some of the great books for the event, from left, are chairperson Lyn Patterson, board of trustees member Barb Hanley, and the Historical Society summer employee from AmeriCorps Nicole Westerbeck. Fun games, free museum tours, and a wonderful lunch-in-a-basket auction run by professional auctioneer Ted Sivers at 2 p.m. will also take place at the picnic. There will be a contest for those who wear the most creative hat as well. For more information about the Victorian Picnic call Patterson at 343-2343 or the museum at 343-1342.
