Auburn Investigation Yields Drug Bust

AUBURN – On 04-21-20 at approximately 0850 hours, following an investigation into the illegal sales of narcotics, a search warrant that was issued by the Honorable Thomas Leone out of Cayuga County Court, was executed at 6 Fort St. Apartment 4 in the City of Auburn by the Finger Lakes Drug Task Force with assistance from the Auburn Police Department, the New York State Police Troop E Violent Gang Narcotics Enforcement Team (NYSP VGNET) and the New York Army National Guard Counter Drug Task Force.

Nearly a half an ounce of crack cocaine, was recovered along with approximately $2,580.00 cash and associated packaging materials and scales. The crack cocaine would have nearly a $2,500.00 street value.

Zoey M. Waldrop (07-12-99) was arrested and charged with Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree (B Felony), Criminal Possession of a Controlled

Substance in the 5th degree (D felony), 2 counts of Criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree (A Mis), and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana (Violation) . Waldrop was then arraigned via Auburn City Court and released on her own recognizance.

The Cayuga County District Attorney’s Office will prosecute the case.
