OSWEGO COUNTY – According to the Oswego County Health Department, as of 3 p.m., there have been 11 additional cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) since yesterday.
The cumulative reported number is 273 cases across the county and of those, 251 have recovered and four have died.
According to the Oswego County Health Department, a cluster is being investigated at Raby’s Ace Home Center in Oswego. More information can be found here[1].
“Among the 11 cases reported today, some are related to a cluster, some to a sports camp outside the county, and some are sporadic as are most of the cases we’ve seen recently,” said Oswego County Public Health Director Jiancheng Huang. “Our staff in the preventive services division of the health department have identified most of the close contacts and will continue to monitor them. A public exposure announcement will be issued as well.”
Oswego County Legislature Chairman James Weatherup urges residents to continue to take every necessary precaution to help reduce the spread of the coronavirus. He also reminds businesses and organizations that they must follow New York State guidance and submit a re-opening plan to the state before they can resume serving customers.
“The community cluster and general increase in today’s report shows that the COVID-19 virus is still quite active in our community,” Weatherup said. “We must continue to take personal responsibility to help prevent the spread of the disease as we move forward with re-opening our communities.”
Today’s statistics are below:
