COVID-19 Statistics Update, November 12, 2020

OSWEGO COUNTY – According to the Oswego County Health Department, as of 3 p.m., there have been 38 additional cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) since yesterday.

The cumulative reported number is 1,055 cases across the county and of those, 828 have recovered and five have died.

SUNY Oswego reported four new cases since yesterday.

Yesterday, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that some state-wide restrictions will be put in place Friday at 10 p.m. due to the increase in COVID-19 cases across New York.

Today’s statistics are below:

Oswego County:[2] (as of 3 p.m.) Note, the total number of positive cases is cumulative since March and the number of recoveries and deaths are of those numbers. SUNY Oswego cases are included in the county numbers, however, the county tracks only those living in Oswego County. That means that students who chose to leave and go back to their home county and test positive there will be included on the college’s dashboard, but not the county’s. Their positive result would be reported to their home county, not here.

  • Total # of positive cases: 1,055 (yesterday: 1,017)
  • Total # of recoveries: 828 (yesterday: 813)
  • Total # of hospitalizations: 44 (as of Nov. 1)
  • Total # of deaths: 5 (no change)
  • Total # tests: 69,286 (yesterday: 68,674)
  • Total # of negative results: 69,006 (yesterday: 67,437)
  • Total # of people in mandatory isolation/quarantine: 599 (yesterday: 699)
  • Total # of positive antibody tests: 91 (as of Nov. 5)
  • Total # of negative antibody tests: 3,478 (as of Nov. 5)

  • Total number of confirmed cases Nov. 7 to Nov. 20: 16 (yesterday: 12)
    • students living on-campus: 2 (no change)
    • students living off-campus while taking classes on-campus: 8 (yesterday: 6)
    • employees working on-campus: 1 (no change)
    • students living off-campus learning remotely: 5 (yesterday: 3)
    • employees working remotely: 0 (no change)
  • Total number of on-campus quarantine rooms occupied: 17 (yesterday: 16)
  • Total number of on-campus isolation rooms occupied: 2 (no change)
