COVID-19 Statistics Update, September 24, 2020

OSWEGO COUNTY – According to the Oswego County Health Department, as of 3 p.m., there have been five additional cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) since yesterday.
The cumulative reported number 586 is cases across the county and of those, 504 have recovered and four have died.
SUNY Oswego reported three new cases today.
The Oswego County Health Department is investigating a confirmed case of COVID-19 in an employee at the Oswego Sub Shop, 106 W. Bridge St., Oswego. Customers who visited the restaurant between approximately 3:45 and 10:35 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 20, may have been exposed to COVID-19. More information can be found here[1].

- Total # of people in mandatory isolation/quarantine: 284 (yesterday: 312)
- Total # of positive antibody tests: 83 (as of Sept. 24)
- Total # of negative antibody tests: 3,342 (as of Sept. 24)

- Total number of confirmed cases Sept. 12 to Sept. 25: 154 (yesterday: 151)
- students living on-campus: 75 (no change)
- students living off-campus while taking classes on-campus: 56 (yesterday: 55)
- employees working on-campus: 1 (no change)
- students living off-campus learning remotely: 22 (yesterday: 20)

- Total number of students in on-campus quarantine: 75 (yesterday: 87)

The campus has voluntarily moved to remote learning Sept. 21 to Oct. 5.
The college has not released information on their dashboard regarding how many off-campus students are in quarantine/isolation.

Governor Andrew Cuomo held a briefing today when he announced the state will release a COVID-19 Report Card for school districts across the state. That video can be found here[6].
Other updates[7] from the state include:
- Governor Cuomo has partnered with New Jersey Governor Murphy and Connecticut Governor Lamont to create a joint travel advisory for individuals traveling from states with significant community spread of COVID-19, requiring a quarantine for 14 days when visiting their states.
- Based on each region’s infection rate, schools across New York State are permitted to open this fall but each school district must have a testing and tracing plan and will decide if an in-person v. hybrid model works best for them while following strict Department of Health Guidance.
- Indoor dining in New York City will be allowed to reopen starting September 30 with a 25 percent occupancy but will be subject to strict safety protocols.
- New York City restaurant patrons who observe violations can report issues by calling 833-208-4160, or by texting ‘VIOLATION’ to 855-904-5036.

- New Yorkers without health insurance can apply through NY State of Health[11] through December 31, 2020; must apply within 60 days of losing coverage.
- Health care workers can text NYFRONTLINE to 741-741 to access 24/7 emotional support services. Any New Yorker can call the COVID-19 Emotional Support Hotline at 1-844-863-9314[12] for mental health counseling.
