OSWEGO COUNTY – According to the Oswego County Health Department, as of 3 p.m., there have been 11 additional cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) since yesterday.
The cumulative reported number 597 is cases across the county and of those, 539 have recovered and four have died.
SUNY Oswego reported seven new cases today.
The Oswego County Health Department reminds residents that the New York State emergency order prohibiting mass gatherings of more than 50 people remains in effect.
“We are aware of reports of events and gatherings that may include more than 50 people,” said Oswego County Public Health Director Jiancheng Huang. “Schools are just now re-opening. It’s important to remember that large gatherings place schoolchildren – as well as adults – at increased risk of being exposed to the COVID-19 virus, which remains active in our community. People need to follow the recommended preventative measures that our state and county health departments have in place to protect the health and safety of all.”
