OSWEGO COUNTY – According to the Oswego County Health Department, as of 3 p.m., there have been 35 additional cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) since Friday, September 25.
The cumulative reported number 632 is cases across the county and of those, 560 have recovered and four have died.
Hannibal Central School District has made the decision to go to remote learning until October 9 after being notified of positive cases among staff and at least one student. More information can be found here[1].
“The Oswego County Health Department monitors COVID-19 activity throughout the county,” said Oswego County Public Health Director Jiancheng Huang. “We continue to work closely with the state Department of Health and local entities in our investigations… Prior to the re-opening of schools, we worked with all of our districts to review plans and procedures and set up a communication network that is open seven days a week. This past weekend, we utilized the network with the Hannibal School District to achieve a timely and cooperative response to COVID-19. It was a successful, collaborative effort to implement strategies to contain the spread of the virus with the school district.”
The Oswego County Health Department is investigating two confirmed cases of COVID-19 at two Oswego stores. An employee at T.J. Maxx, 137 NYS Rte. 104, and an employee at 5 Points Convenience Store, 1 Washington Blvd, each tested positive for COVID-19.
Customers who visited T.J. Maxx on the following dates may have been exposed to the virus:
Tuesday, Sept. 22 between 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Sept. 23 between 1 and 8 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 24 between 9 and 11:30 a.m.
Customers who visited 5 Points Convenience Store on the following dates may have been exposed to the virus:
Monday, Sept. 21 between noon and 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Sept. 23 between 3 and 9:30 p.m.

The college began a new two-week period to count new cases. This is a SUNY-wide practice for the purpose of the 100 positive case threshold[6] to be required to move to online learning.
The campus has voluntarily moved to remote learning Sept. 21 to Oct. 5.
The college has not released information on their dashboard regarding how many off-campus students are in quarantine/isolation.

Indoor dining in New York City will be allowed to reopen starting September 30 with a 25 percent occupancy but will be subject to strict safety protocols.
