FULTON – Mayor Deana Michaels as Chair of the Fulton Community Development Agency (FCDA) has announced Brad Broadwell as the new Executive Director of the FCDA.

“Brad has all the qualities and experience we sought for this position,” Michaels said. “Brad has a strong balance of skill and experience in workforce and economic development that will help him connect with both the public and private sector stakeholders. On behalf of the Board of Directors, we are excited about the opportunities we feel Brad will bring to Fulton.”

A native of Fulton, Brad has worked at all levels of government, driving change through strategic planning and development. In recent years Brad worked as an economic development specialist in Vermont, Maryland and North Carolina. He is currently the Regional Director of the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP). SCSEP trains moderate to low income people 55+ and helps them to find employment.

“I am very fortunate to have an opportunity to utilize my skills and experience to help grow the City of Fulton,” Broadwell said. “After leaving here years ago, I have made it a lifelong pursuit to fight for sustainable change and workable economic development. I have learned throughout my career that you never change a thing fighting existing practices and reality. What drives plausible change is building a new vision which makes the existing one obsolete.”

The Fulton Community Development Agency is a public authority which administers public housing programs. The FCDA is also responsible for administering various city grants including the Downtown Revitalization Initiative and the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program.
