Update: During its special meeting at the end of November, the city of Fulton Common Council voted to approve advertising the public hearing for the mayor’s 2015 budget proposal and slated the hearing for its regular meeting Dec. 16.
Copies of the budget will be available in the clerk’s office at 9 a.m. on Dec. 9.
FULTON, NY – The city of Fulton Common Council will receive the mayor’s 2015 budget proposal on Tuesday Dec. 9 after a public hearing on the document.

Councilors and Mayor Ronald Woodward met on Nov. 20 for a budget workshop that was open to the public. The mayor and Councilor Tom Kenyon said the following day the session was extremely productive, leaving only a narrow budget gap to close between expenses and revenue.
While the working document is not yet public, City Clerk Dan O’Brien said a meeting has been scheduled on Tuesday to approve the public hearing on the budget.
With the Council’s approval, the public hearing is slated for the regular Dec. 9 meeting, immediately following the public comment session at 7 p.m., in Council Chambers on the second floor of the Municipal Center.
“The mayor’s proposed budget will be available for the public in the clerk’s office on Dec. 2 at 9 a.m.,” O’Brien said.
City officials said they also plan to make the document available on the city’s website.
