A Central Square man is accused of robbing a bank in Grand Gorge, NY, about 30 miles southwest of Albany.
State Police allege that Christopher M. Seamans, 32, of 340 Shanty Creek Rd. Central Square, held up the NBT Bank branch in Grand Gorge on Tuesday at about 9:40 a.m.. Police said he did not use a weapon. The robber drove away from the bank in a red sedan.
Less than 24 hours later, police in Atlantic City, New Jersey arrested Seamans and Emily E. White, 20, of 219 Bates Ave., Oneida. Police intended to search the vehicle Seamans drove as well as his hotel room. Meantime, the suspects are in jail in Atlantic City.
Police said they will be charged as fugitives from justice and eventually returned to New York to face charges.
