FULTON, NY – On Friday Fulton Police attempted to stop a vehicle on Ontario Street in the city of Fulton after recognizing the operator who was known to have a suspended driver’s license as well as an active arrest warrant from another agency.
The officer attempted to stop the vehicle and the operator failed to comply, police said.

The officer began to pursue the vehicle, which left the city of Fulton and continued through the town of Volney and into the town of Scriba.
The operator eventually pulled over and was taken into custody on Maiden Lane Road in the town of Scriba.
Fulton Police were assisted by members of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Department as well as the New York State Police.
The operator, Juan A. Rivera, 37, of 8745 Gaskin Road, Clay, was charged with:
Reckless Endangerment, 1st degree – two (counts (city of Fulton and town of Volney) – Class D felony
Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a motor vehicle, 3rd degree – three counts (city of Fulton, town of Volney and town of Scriba) Class A Misdemeanor
Aggravated Unlicensed Operator, 3rd degree
Reckless Driving
Failure to Comply with the Lawful Order of a Police Officer
Failed to Stop for Stop Sign – two counts
Speed in Zone – two counts
Unlicensed Operator
Consumption of Alcohol in a motor vehicle
Threw/Deposited Refuse on a Highway
Rivera was arraigned in the City of Fulton Court and remanded to the Oswego County Jail with no bail.
He is scheduled to return to Fulton City Court on August 8.
A passenger in the vehicle, Kristin Bouchard, 29 also of 8745 Gaskin Road, Clay, was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marihuana.
Bouchard was released on an appearance ticket, returnable to the City of Fulton Court on August 16.
