Early Morning Crash in Tully Injures Fulton Man

TULLY – State Police in Lafayette are investigating an accident that occurred on Interstate 81 in the town of Tully.

The investigation has revealed that at approximately 7 a.m. today (Dec. 18), a 2002 Chevrolet Propane delivery truck, operated by James P. Fyffe, 54, from Fulton, was traveling southbound on I-81 when he exited the west shoulder of the roadway and struck a tree.

Fyffe had to be extricated by the Tully Fire Department and was transported to SUNY Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The propane truck did not leak or rupture during the crash.

The investigation is continuing.
