OSWEGO, NY – David Fischer was named superintendent of the Bellingham, Mass., School District earlier this evening (June 10).
Fischer is currently the superintendent of the Oswego district.
He was in Massachusetts today to negotiate his contract with the Bellingham district.
Last month, Fischer was among four candidates for the position.
In late May the district interviewed its two finalists, Fischer and Superintendent Michael Ludwell of Manchester, N.H.
Fischer learned last week that he had been selected as the likely candidate.
He is slated to begin his new duties July 1.
