Fulton CDA Announces Mini-Round of DRI Grant Fund For Small Businesses

FULTON – The Fulton Community Development Agency (FCDA) is now accepting applications for a mini-round of the Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) Grant Fund. This competitive round of limited funding seeks to make use of any remaining resources from the DRI small business program. Local property and small business owners within the city’s DRI target zone are encouraged to apply for project support that enhances the character, infrastructure, and economic vitality of Downtown Fulton.

Applications are due by Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 4:00 PM and can be submitted to Caroline Shue via email at [email protected] or sent by mail to the FCDA at 125 W Broadway, Fulton, NY 13069. The maximum grant award per project is $20,000, and funds are available for a range of eligible improvements, including: facade upgrades and exterior repairs, interior renovations for commercial or mixed-use buildings, code compliance and accessibility improvements, energy efficiency enhancements.

The program operates as a reimbursable grant, meaning awardees must initially fund 100% of the project cost and then submit receipts for reimbursement.

Applications will be scored based on readiness, visual and economic impact, alignment with DRI priorities, and improvements to quality of life in the downtown area. Projects that help activate vacant space, support local entrepreneurship, and elevate the downtown experience will be prioritized.
