FULTON – The Fulton Common Council met briefly tonight, May 5, via teleconference call when councilors approved three resolutions.
Dan O’Brien, the city clerk/chamberlain was approved to advertise for sealed bids for the Primary Clarifier Rehabilitation Project at the Wastewater Treatment Plant in accordance with specifications prepared by C&S Engineers. Bids are due by June 4 at 2 p.m. in the city clerk’s office and will publicly be opened at 2:15 p.m.
This project includes the replacement of the sludge and scum collection mechanisms within the four existing primary wastewater treatment tanks and structural rehabilitation of those tanks at the wastewater treatment plant, located at 1690 State Route 48 in Fulton.
A change to the city code (City Code Article V section 460-27[1] D) was approved to allow for another designated location for mobile food vendors at the furthest most Southwest corner of city lot 7 (Parking Lot No. 7, west of South First Street, between Lot No. 6 and Veteran’s Park.)
Kristine Bishop, representing Bishop’s Bistro[2] food truck, was granted a vending license to sell food and drink from May 1, 2020 to May 31, 2020.
There was no public comment and five out of the six councilors did not have anything to say following the approval of the resolutions.
First Ward Councilor Tom Kenyon praised the yard waste program in his ward, and expressed his thanks for the Department of Public Works.
