FULTON – G. Ray Bodley High School senior Caleb Almeter recently received national recognition for his success on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship qualifying test.

Almeter excelled on the PSAT exam last year and earned a letter of commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
Of the 1.5 million students who took the test, Almeter finished in the top five percent.
“The young men and women being named Commended Students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success,” said a NMSC spokesperson. “These students represent a valuable national resource; recognizing their accomplishments, as well as the key role their schools play in their academic development, is vital to the advancement of educational excellence in our nation.”
According to GRB Principal Donna Parkhurst, Almeter deserves recognition for his achievement and his commitment to academic excellence.
“We are very proud of Caleb’s accomplishment and it is an honor to present him with a letter of commendation,” Parkhurst said.
